Fun Things Going On at ScrapMatters

I've been busy playing with some awesome kits from ScrapMatters this month!  They are so many new releases every week and it is hard to resist buying them all up!!

This weekend, SM released a set of six grab bags called Mixed Matters.  Each one contains awesome goodies from different designers and they are great on their own or by mixing them up.  This is using ScrapMatters Mixed Matters #6 for this LO of my 4yo daughter

This is using  Off to School by Creations by Rachael and geniaBeana for this LO about some of my favorite teachers growing up.

I used the kit Precious Baby Boy from Designs by CRK for this LO of my youngest daughter at 3 months old Despite the fact that it is a boy kit, I knew I could use it for these photos of her!!
You can get the kit in the ScrapMatters Shop

Some more layouts

I participated in a challenge at Stuff to Scrap over the past 5 weeks and boy was it challenging!!  I made it to the end, but unfortunately I wasn't in the top three :(  That's okay, though...the other ladies in the final 6 were amazing and it must have been hard to choose!  Here are my layouts for the 5 challenges.

Week One was the toughest for me as it was about ME and it also followed a recipe with A LOT of stuff on the page, which I don't normally do.  This layout used a bunch of items from the Daily Digi.  Image is linked for credits.

Week 2 we had to take a template (which was really a bunch of shapes not really in a LO format) they gave us and rearrange it to form our own template.  We could only use those pieces, too...tough.  This LO uses Created by Jill Scraps' kit Denim Blues.  Image is linked to gallery

Week three was to use an ad for inspiration.  I used Created by Jill Scraps' portion of the July Build A Kit (from STS) called Sweet and Simple - the kit  the solids  and the labels

Week 4 was a photo-less layout with at least 150 words!!  This was a challenge for me because I don't normally journal on my pages and I've never done one without a photo!!  This time I used I Heart the 4th from Crossbone Cuts Designs which you can get in the ScrapMatters Shop

For the final week, we were given a collab kit from the Stuff to Scrap design team and were instructed to created a 2-page layout..  I really liked being able to see how much Alexa changed her first year.

REALLY Bad Blogger :(

So much for my resolution of blogging every day...I've been busy doing layouts for ScrapMatters and here are a few of them

I Heart the 4th from Crossbone Cuts Designs
You can get I Heart the 4th in the ScrapMatters Shop

I used Cluster Queen Creations’ kit Proud to Be, which is part of a collab with Amy Stoffel. I used all of CQC’s part. Proud to Be can also be purchased as part of a bundle, The Heartland Collection. I also used a template from Gimme Layers Lite Vol. 14 by Cluster Queen Creations as my base for the layout.  I also used a staple from Mye De Leon's Blondie Tower
I used the kits I Love to Read and Movie Night which are both part of a collab bundle from Alissa Jones and Agnesingap Designs. Buy the bundle and get the Seaside kit for free!!!
You can get the bundle in the ScrapMatters Shop

I used the kit Movie Night which is part of a collab bundle from Alissa Jones and Agnesingap Designs. Buy the bundle and get the Seaside kit for free!!!

I used the kit Pasted and Pinned: Entertainment Bundle from Amy Stoffel for this LO of my daughter playing with her sister's Minnie Mouse ears.

I used the kit Fashion Doll from Clever Monkey Graphics and Kaye Winiecki for this layout of my youngest getting her first haircut, manicure and ears pierced at a local salon during her sister's birthday party. I also used the June 2012 Challenge Template from Shabby Abby
